Each unit is equipped with two (2) layers of media, ensuring efficient filtration. The filtration process begins with the water from the pond being initially filtered by a 36W Clarifier (sold separately), which effectively addresses the issue of green water. Next, the water passes through a Bio-sponge mat that removes particulate matter. The water then continues through an additional layer of bio-sponge and finally exits the filter after being filtered through a bottom layer of bio balls. These bio balls harbor a bacterium that breaks down organic pollutants, which can be harmful to fish and reduce pond clarity.
The Jebao UBF-25000 Gravity box pond filter range is designed to handle ponds up to 7000 gallons in capacity. The unit's dimensions are 31" x 21" x 20", making it a compact and space-efficient solution. The inlet size is compatible with 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 1.5" threaded PVC pipe, while the outlet size is a 2.5" PVC pipe.
This three-stage filter provides both mechanical and biological filtration, ensuring comprehensive water treatment. The key advantage of this filter is that it can be positioned above the water surface, at the edge of the pond or above a waterfall.
